My mission: Make learning and living engaging and worthwhile for my students. This blog's mission: become a forum where teachers can discuss ups, downs, successes, failures, LESSON PLANS (share!), and anything else that we encounter on our journey to make a difference!
I loved this project! It really did help you to remember all of the amendments, rather than just reading about them in our book. Writing them down and adding a picture to each amendment somehow seemed to make the information stick a little better. I can remember taking tests over the constitution and using the memory of making my childrens book to help me remember the correct answers. Great assignment, with great results!
ReplyDeleteThis project was one of my favorites. I didn't just learn what the amendments were; I actually understood what they meant to my life. Making the books and knowing that they were going to elementary schools in my community was amazing. Even though I'm not the best artist; my finished project still helped others.
